Meet Our Pastor

Reginald W. Pope is the lead pastor-teacher of The Carpenter’s House in La Marque, TX.

Regi received Christ as his personal Savior at 22 years of age. He was in the midst of a great crisis in his life when his first child, Jasmyn, was born with a birth defect (Spina Bifida) and contracted spinal meningitis only a few days after her birth.  However, standing on these Scripture verses: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” I John 5:14-15 (NKJV), without any medicine, God miraculously healed Jasmyn from the spinal meningitis and her life was spared! Our God is an Awesome God!!!

Beginning with 12 adults in 2008, in Regi & Jacqueline’s living room, The Carpenter’s House was birthed!  TCH is a Christ centered, Bible based, Spirit-filled, non-denominational church with heart-felt worship and transforming teaching and preaching.  TCH is family oriented and motivated by agape love (I Corinthians 13).

Regi received a Master’s degree in Christian counseling and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology degree from Immanuel Temple School of the Bible, Houston, TX.

Regi and his wife, Jacqueline, were married in 2008. They have a blended family of eleven children and five grandchildren and reside in Galveston County.

Jacqueline, known for her vibrant smile and joyous spirit, came to know the Lord at a very desperate time in her life after experiencing a broken heart. She knows all too well that God will use the challenges of life to show you your need for Him. She works closely with her best friend and husband, Pastor Regi W. Pope of The Carpenter’s House. Along with being his biggest supporter, she serves TCH as a licensed minister, Women’s Ministry Leader, adult Sunday School teacher and plays an active role in coordinating special events within the ministry. Regi & Jackie are also lead servants of the Marriage Ministry.

Professionally, Jacqueline has worked as a registered nurse for 29 years with her certification in geriatrics. She has a special place in her heart for the elderly. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Immanuel Temple School of the Bible.

Jacqueline has a passion to help women to seek God and wait on His best for them in every area of their life. She also desires that those who profess Christ as their Savior make the most of every opportunity to be a light in a dark and dying world.

Jacqueline and Regi were married in 2008 and have a blended family of eleven children and five grandchildren.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to [His] purpose. Romans 8:28
